THE LITTLE BIG THINGS 8.0

Sometimes when I think about my relationship with Abba, I legit laugh at how interested He is in minute details.
One of those days, I got back from school really late, about 7pm, after a day of being pressed in ward rounds๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿคฆ.

Normally I’d sleep by 8pm to wake by 2am, so I ditched dinner and showered to go to bed.
Whilst stripping, I heard “change bedspread and pillowcase before you sleep” to which I responded off-handedly “No oh! Tomorrow. I’m exhausted abeg.”

Baba did not stress.

I say he did not even ask a second time. Now, knowing how He reminds me of stuff more than once in some cases, I should have been concerned, but tiredness won.

I showered and prepared for bed. Thirty minutes later I was still turning on the bed with my earpiece plugged in. Sleep was so far away from my exhausted body.
I had to check in with Him and He went all “shebi I told you to change bedspread and pillowcase?” I picked my tired body from the bed, changed beddings and laid back. Almost immediately peace was restored, and in under 10 minutes I was dozing.

Your beddings are an important part of your good night’s sleep.
Change them regularly.

THE LITTLE BIG THINGS 7.0

Our curtains were flapping loudly as the wind blew into the room. I got up from my reading table headed for my wardrobe and my roommate giggled. “Eh he, socks girl, I knew you were going to get up. Small 5 naira wind you’ve gone to wear socks!” We shared a laugh as I wore the socks I had fished from my wardrobe and returned to the table.

I don’t like to take chances on what I can prevent.

Can I tell you how many times I have worn two pairs of socks to bed because it rained in the afternoon? ๐Ÿ˜‚
Or how many times I woke from sleep just to wear socks?

I can’t count.

Being sick is the unmentionable last item on my list of most unfavorable situations. I do not like drugs and I do not like sickness, however, because my body easily catches cold through my feet I always have two pairs of socks handy.

Preventing a cold is way easier than treating it.
Make healthy decisions.

Keep a pair of socks or a beanie by your pillow. Take it off when you begin to feel heat, but by all means, prioritize your health this week.

I’m rooting for you. ๐Ÿฅ‚

THE LITTLE BIG THINGS 6.0

Some weeks back, I took a leave of absence from content creation to clear my backlog. (Do you ever have those days you don’t want to be anything apart from a baby girl/boy again? ๐Ÿ˜” Yup, it was one of those moments.)

Yet, in that season I kept seeing mentors showing up strong, creating daily content, and dishing awesome value as always and I appreciated more than ever their strength and commitment to value.

Abba reminded me on how sometimes this value is perceived as trivial by a lot of persons and I re-committed to showing gratitude for every knowledge gained.

Today, I was replying a friend’s message. As I typed “Thank you…” my keyboard’s prediction prompted the words “for sharing” and I smiled, because this has been my most used phrase in the past weeks.

This weekend stay reminded of the importance of thanksgiving and appreciation for past, present and future.
Gratitude works! Always.

What are you grateful for? Who are you grateful for?
Writing a gratitude note (and possibly sharing) is an absolutely healthy thing to do.

I’m rooting for you! ๐Ÿฅ‚
