THE LITTLE BIG THINGS 9.0

There’s a lot to say on #tears and #mentalhealth. A lot of myths to be debunked.
The first of them is that hard guys like you and I should not cry.

Growing up, I hated it when I cried. (I still do not like it, but hate is a strong word.)

I cry when I’m angry and I have too many memories of how messy it can be when I break down in public.

This hasn’t happened since primary school, but it does happen ever so often in the comfort of my room.

Two days back, I was upset about something and quite unwilling to let go, so I avoided bringing up the topic with Abba as I laid in bed that night.
And then He’s like “Good luck keeping up your hard guy image. When you’re done, lemme know okay?”

Fam, that was all it took to reduce hard guy to a bundle of tears. I wept.

The relief, peace and joy I had after those tears fell is indescribable.

Sometimes, just cry. Will it solve the problem? No. But will it help? Definitely.

Don’t let “hard guy, hard guy” keep you from peace of mind.

I’m rooting for your health. 🥂

With love,
GloryJoseph.
