Normalize “chopping life” with water.

So, today we had pounded yam and white soup at home.

It’s not a regular meal, because, pounded yam tastes different from “poundo” (yam flour) and my mum prefers pounded yam to “poundo”, and you see my tiny shoulders? They’re definitely not cut out for pounding yam, so we end up not having pounded yam regularly, because, I am unashamed, my guy, I can’t pound yam enough to feed a household as small as ours.

Let’s skip the drama that ensued at pounding, because… Just skip it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
As an aside, having an elder brother is priceless, likeee.

Okay, so, to the part where my table is prepared and I’m about to dine. You know this is one of those meals you want to “wash down” with something chilled. There are about a dozen cans of malt staring at me as I open the freezer, there’s Chi product smiling at me too, but, I? I surprise myself.

I pick a chilled bottle of water, and “wash down.” And it feels sooo good.

I didn’t even tell you how I made it through December without a sip of soda/carbonated drink! (gist for another day).

But, today, guy, I had a delicacy with water, on purpose. And it sits well, really well. I think it’s a good time to redefine chopping life. ๐Ÿ˜Š

And this is the part where I tell you too, to normalize reading your Bible without searching for “Rhema”. The word is life already! My guy, wetin you dey find?

Normalize taking God’s word at face value. It’s sufficient in itself.

So, my guys are heart broken that I washed down pounded yam with water. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Well, well. What can I say? ๐Ÿ˜‚

You see the extra? It’s not necessary.

Good food is not defined by the way it makes you feel as much as it is by what it does to you.

Don’t be so excited about “washing down” God’s word with some exciting rhymes/hyperstuff, that you miss the important thing; the word.

Its transforming ability is in taking it as it is. Try it! Proverbs go blow your mind! Literally! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Because it is you, I’ll be tell you why I’m sharing this. Before I had my meal, I did a little Bible study. A certain verse caught my mind with an obvious meaning, but what did I do? I was trying to seek a deeper meaning and God reminded me of the importance of taking His word at face value.

It was so profound, I had to share. I know it blessed you.

And that’s it for tonight. I reposted from my WhatsApp status.

I love to read your thoughts. Share it as a comment, please, or a reply to this mail.

I write for you, always.
