But, her “Papa?” was met with silence, and yet there was something comforting in that silence that made her face lift towards the stranger at the open door, or rather, the light source.
Because as she looked, she discovered the light streamed from the stranger.
Bewildered, she asked “Who are you, Sir?” to which He replied “I am. Your brother, Nina asked me to stop by your bed tonight. I promised him I would. Walk with me.”
Grasping his outstretched arm, Tae walked out o the room into light. It was still dawn but every step was lighted by the stranger and she basked in his warmth.
They talked for what seemed to Tae like light years, about her fears, love, light and peace, till finally her eyelids fluttered from her need to use the restroom. She hurried down from the hospital bed, totally oblivious to the crutch by her bed.
The screams of the attending nurse when she saw her return to her bed was reality check. She was walking! And, no, not in her mind, she was actually walking. After 12 years of a crutched-existence, she could finally walk.
The stranger had made her whole. Christ had made her whole.
It was the first of many mornings when she would not wake in fear from the nightmares that plagued her. Nightmares from the night she fell.
Because, now, light had come!
Imole de oh okuku parada.
Light has come, darkness disappear.

Beautiful piece as always. The cure for any problem/situation is always light. Depression, fear and anxiety are things my natural self is easily prone to but I thank God daily because I know that I loved and I am his. All things work together for me, and he is always with me. A thousand years of darkness only needs a second of light to solve it’s darkness situation. Light is beautiful.
